Join the Spring Provisional class at a pottery painting night at Fired Up in Branford to support the Clifford Beers Clinic. The Clinic is a nationally recognized provider of trauma-informed mental health care for children, adolescents, and adults. They serve as the safety net for children and families in the greater New Haven area who cannot afford or gain access to private mental health care. Their whole-family, trauma-informed, integrated model of care is designed to reduce chronic stress and build healthy and supportive connections.
If you couldn't make it to the Pottery painting event for the Spring Provisional project and/or want to provide additional support to the Clifford Beers Clinic, buy an item from the Amazon wish list. These items would be highly beneficial to their summer camp as many campers do not have items like swimsuits, towels, and sunblock.
Join the American Red Cross for a free online water safety course. The Water Safety for Parents and Caregivers Online Course focuses on developing an awareness of the risks of drowning and how to minimize those risks, especially for young children. This online course teaches parents and caregivers about the concepts of the circle of drowning prevention, water competency, and the chain of drowning survival. It also provides guidance for applying water safety to common environments and situations where children are most at risk for drowning.
