JL Board Project
There are so many issues affecting our community and while we are focused mainly on the issues of literacy and hunger this year, the board decided it would be nice to do a project together to help bring awareness to another issue of importance to us. We chose the issue of homelessness and will be participating in the City of New Haven's Tent City event. Tent City is an event where local organizations raise money for homelessness and the event culminates with people camping out on the Green on a cold New England night to experience how it feels to have nowhere to go in the bitterest months.
