| Saturday, October 2 from 1-5 pm at 216 Dwight St. New Haven Bike Collective is an organization that collects and refurbishes bicycles to donate to needy people and charitable organizations. In addition, the New Haven Bike Collective promotes the importance of biking as a more eco-friendly method of transportation and eliminates the financial barriers to obtaining a bike. Past recipients benefiting from the refurbished bikes are IRIS, Liberty Safe House, and several children's organizations.
On Oct. 2 our Done In A Day Committee will be hosting our own bike repair workshop. All interested parties are encouraged to take part in the fun! You can pick out a bike, fix it up, and be happy knowing that you are supporting a great cause. No experience is required and there will be mechanics on hand to help out. This is also a great opportunity for your kids to share in giving back, so bring them along!
Please contact Done In A Day Chair Stephanie Ariker with any questions and to RSVP. Reach her at
