New Haven's Most Eligible Competition

New Haven's Most Eligible is our fun, annual event to honor community service in Greater New Haven. Throughout the event, contestants will answer questions and field challenges for votes from attendees. The contestant with the highest number of votes at the end of the night will win the title of New Haven’s Most Eligible and a contribution in their name to the charity of their choice.

New Haven’s Most Eligible will be held at The Wicked Wolf Tavern in New Haven on Friday, April 20, 2012, from 6:00-10:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased from any League member or at the door. Special VIP passes are $100 and include four tickets, four votes, one bottle of champagne and a reserved table. VIP passes must be purchased no later than Tuesday, April 10, 2012, from any League member. VIP passes cannot be purchased at the door.

The Junior League of Greater New Haven is currently recruiting contestants for the 2012 New Haven's Most Eligible Competition. We are seeking men and women who are active philanthropists and/or volunteers in the Greater New Haven community interested in a friendly competition to be named New Haven's Most Eligible Bachelor or Bachelorette. Contestants must be at least 21 years old and are asked to raise $150 in sponsorships. The winner will receive $1,000 toward the non-profit organization of his or her choice.

Meet Our 2012 New Haven’s Most Eligible Contestants

Lauren Allard: Lauren is originally from Milford, Connecticut, but is currently residing in West Haven, Connecticut. She is the head cheerleading coach at the University of New Haven. When not working with her cheer team, she is working at West Haven Child Development Center, a non-profit child development center that provides an amazing education for underprivileged children as well as children in the community. Lauren enjoys spending time with her friends and family, going to church and reading. Alongside her cheerleaders, Lauren has raised money for important charities such as St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Lauren is thrilled to be representing the West Haven Child Development Center!

Erin Logan: Erin joined the News 8 team in September 2011. She was recently at ABC 6 in Providence. Prior to Providence, Erin was the 5:30 anchor at WNDU in South Bend, Indiana. One of the 90 minute newscasts she anchored won an AP award for "Best Newscast." Erin's second job over the years has been an instructor at the collegiate level. She's taught several media courses and workshops, most recently at Johnson and Wales, Indiana University South Bend and the University of Notre Dame. Erin is no stranger to the New England television market. She's worked at the NBC affiliates in Boston and Providence. Her first job in the business was weekend anchor in Presque Isle, Maine. Erin graduated Magna Cum Laude from Syracuse University in 2000. In 2002, she earned her Master's degree in Broadcast Journalism at Boston University. During her free time, Erin loves running, volunteering at charity events helping underprivileged children and spending time with her family. Erin is thrilled to call Connecticut home!
