Read Aloud Program at Clarence Rogers School
clarencerogersextOn Monday, November 16, five members of the Junior League spent part of their morning reading aloud to students at Clarence Rogers Elementary School in New Haven.

The school, which the League partners with for its New Haven School Co-op program, has seven mainstream classroom as well as two special education rooms. Members read a Thankgiving-themed book to each classroom and donated the new books we read to the rooms. The students, in kindergarten through second grade, were very enthusiastic and appreciative, and the committee looks forward to doing another read aloud soon! Coming up, we will be back at the school on December 7 to provide child care for students while their parents and guardians are in evening parent-teacher conferences.
