Spreading Winter Cheer

christine_bishop_reading_to_a_second_grade_class On Monday, December 20, eight Junior League members visited Clarence Rogers Elementary School in New Haven - one of the League's community partners - to help encourage the excitement of books and learning.   They visited classrooms to celebrate the winter season!  Each member read and donated a winter-themed book called Ten on a Sled by Kim Norman. In addition, each student received a chocolate chip cookie pack and drink to enjoy during the "Winter Wonderland" day. The League also helped collect and donate winter scarves, hats, and mittens to support the school, and staff was able to distribute a set to almost every student.
